We are having a fun week and here are some photos!
Immersion Anglaise En France, dans la famille de Tanya et Blair, Daily English
The week so far:
On Sunday, we had boeuf bourgignon for dinner and played some games.
On Monday, we had an English fried breakfast, then learnt about Skiing and ski vocabulary in our lesson. We had soup and sandwiches for lunch and then went bowling for the afternoon. We came home for a dinner of fish pie and vegetables.
On Tuesday, we had cereal and toast for breakfast, then took a picnic lunch up to the mountains. We played some vocabulary games in the car on the way! We went skiing in Les Gets and had lots of fun with friends who were visiting from Ireland! We came home for a lesson about Climate Change and the environment, and Maxime made a poster for his homework. We had an English curry pie for dinner, and strawberries dipped in chocolate.
On Wednesday, we left early for a full day of skiing in Les Gets and Morzine with Toby and Aurelia's cousins. We had a ski lesson to improve our balance, to get low and practise carving properly, and practised jump turns on steep slopes. We had a picnic lunch in the sun and skied until 5.30pm before coming home for a lesson on the Amazonian rainforest and animals, classifying different types of animals. Maxime did a reportage on an animal of his choice - the thorny dragon! We had a fondue for dinner, then donuts!
Today we had Nutella pancakes for breakfast and had a grammar lesson about Tenses, with some videos and listening exercises. We focused on correctly using the Present and Past Simple tenses, and had a look at the Future, and the Present Continuous tenses too. We are having steak and chips for lunch, then we're going ice-skating and will make cupcakes when we get home!
