Welcome to the family of Angela and Emanuele, Lily (20 years old), Celeste (16 years old) and Giorgio (13 years old).
Do you like animals, the countryside and the Provence sun?
The family will be happy to welcome you to speak English whilst enjoying all the activities of this beautiful region – singing under or over the Avignon bridge, diving in the cold water under the “Pont du Gard”, zip-lining between the trees.... or simply give a kiss every morning to the family donkey, named Chouchou.
Mom, Angela and English teacher
Born in Leicester in England, Angela has always dreamed of living in France. She first studied at the Sorbonne University in Paris and then got her French degree from the University of Newcastle in England. With a great sense of adventure, she flew to Costa Rica to teach English in the British Institute for two years. She then settled in Paris in 1996 and has not left France ever since. She is fond of gardening, hiking, languages and animals.
Dad, Emanuele (Sales manager Europe)
Born in the United-States, of Italian nationality, Emanuele has traveled a lot with his family when he was a child. He graduated the University of London with a Bachelor's degree in engineering. He now works for a New-Zealand company, world leader in managing software for movie theaters.
Often on a business trip, when he is home, he loves cooking (like his Italian grandmother!) and he loves everything about gadgets.
Céleste (16 years old)
Céleste is the artist of the family. She has chosen the applied arts option in her high school, in 10th grade. She loves drawing, taking polaroids, creating and making anything more beautiful! She has a small art studio in an annex where she loves spending her time while listening to music.
Giorgio (13 years old)
Currently in 7th grade, Giorgio is crazy about Legos, his bedroom is a real creation and building station. He also likes rock-climbing, zip-lining, the via ferrata, et cetera.... He often rides his bike to the village to buy some candy!
Lily (20 years old)
Lily is in her second year in the University of Glasgow in Scotland. She is studying Biology with a major in immunology. She loves baking (especially cakes and cookies), horse-riding (the family owns a horse) and traveling.
The animals are part of the family and play a big part.
There are 5 cats, one dog (a very nice Beagle), a horse, a donkey and two dwarf rabbits.
The house is a typical Provencal farmhouse, that is to say, a nice stone structure surrounded by apricot fields. There are 5 bedrooms and the guestroom is on the ground floor with its own bathroom and toilets (and a direct access to the hammock in the back yard).
The village is located 15 minutes south of Avignon, 5 minutes from a lovely small Provencal village. Near us are the Alpilles mountains, the Gardon river, the Mount Ventoux and the beach, so everyone can find something to their liking.
The family hosts a maximum of 2 children/teens (of close age).
One bedroom with two beds and a private full bathroom; or 2 separate bedrooms.
